A WORD FROM ERIC:
My name is Eric Peace, I’m 31 years old, a husband to my wife Ashley, and father of two little boys Austin and Colden. In 2017, I was diagnosed with a tumor on my brainstem. I had two biopsies done, and was told by my doctors that the tumor is a suspected glioma. My health was stable until November of 2020, where I noticed some of my previous symptoms had returned. I followed up with my doctor to and was told not only did my tumor return but it was in new location. On May 20, 2021, I had debulking surgery and a biopsy. After I woke up from surgery, my recovery consisted of relearning to walk, and suffering from double vision for a temporary amount of time. I haven’t been able to return to work, drive, or enjoy my time volunteering at the Pomona Fire Department. Currently I am restarting chemotherapy orally, and IV infusion every two weeks. We are hoping for a positive outcome. This has not been easy for me or my family. I am truly thankful for all the support my family, friends, and neighbors have given me and my family. Thank you.
