Every once in a while, a piece of cardboard becomes more interesting because it wasn’t supposed to exist anymore.

During production of the 3nd Edition Shiny Cardboard series, a small group of cards featuring artwork connected to Black Smoke Sticker Co. were pulled from the release by Taylor’s Tins.

At the time, the decision stirred up plenty of noise online. We were criticized for this choice at the time and it wasn't fun. 

But protecting the Taylor’s Tins brand has always come first — even when it means taking heat for it.

Fast-forward to today.
The internet noise is gone, the situation played out exactly how many suspected it would, and what remains are the cards that were never supposed to make it out.

A limited number of these 3nd Edition “Banned Cards” survived the manufacturing purge and have been sitting quietly in storage ever since.

So here they are.

Are they rare? Technically yes.
Are they valuable? Probably not.
Are they still just shiny pieces of cardboard? Absolutely.
Should you follow your gut when it comes to protecting your brand, employees and future? Always without question...

But they’re also a strange little footnote in the history of Taylor's Tins
