REMOVE THE OLD SHIELD
Use the screwdriver.
Turn screw left.
Shield comes off.
Pretty simple.

DISPOSE OF THE OLD LEATHER SHIELD
Throw it in the trash.
Say goodbye.
Don’t look back.

PREP THE BRACKET
Thread the screws back into the helmet bracket about halfway. Not tight. Not loose. Halfway.

TEST FIT THE TAYLOR'S TINS SHIELD
Using both hands, press the new shield against the helmet/screws. Shimmy it side to side slightly so the screws mark the back.

These marks matter.  Pay attention.

FIND THE MARKS
Flip the shield over. You’ll see two small tick marks on the back from the screws. That’s where you drill. Look close… do they look even and symmetrical? You probably did it right.

DRILL THE HOLES
Place the shield face down on a clean surface. Hold it firmly. Drill through the marks with the ¼” bit. Yes, drill into the surface below. That’s normal. Just don’t do it at the kitchen table. That’s not normal.

INSTALL THE SHIELD
Thread one screw through the shield into the bracket 2 turns. Start the second screw. Once both are started, tighten them down firmly.
