If we made the error, we fix it at no charge. If the design was approved and the error was in the approved draft, we'll work with you but can't always replace for free. Always double-check before approving.

NFPA doesn’t cover helmet shields. They’re accessories. We tested them anyway—internally and with third parties—and they’d clear NFPA requirements if shields were part of the standard. We’ve also worked directly with major helmet manufacturers
and have confirmation that our shields do not void helmet warranties. Whether you can run one comes down to your department, not NFPA.
