The Rust Belt Jakes are our TOTM rep this month!

$5 from every shield will be donated to Black Flag Fire Training to help provide free training to departments that otherwise cannot afford it.

The Rust Belt Jakes training cadre was established in 2022 by Nick Peppard, Marc Aloan and Dru Goings. The three had collaborated on several hands-on training classes over the years and decided to come together under a common banner for the sake of promoting realistic, blue-collar firefighter training. While each of the original members has been in the training world for several years now (North Florida Fire Expo, The Fire Inside and Smoothbore Nation), the discussion began concerning working together to deliver even better training opportunities and experiences. Over the last year the cadre has grown to include Nick Ledin, Brian Weigle, Joe Gangler, JD Ducharme, Mike Stephens and Justin Peppard. With nearly a century and a half of collective experience in both career and volunteer departments across the midwest, northeast and southeast, the Rust Belt Jakes cadre offers a truly unique training environment that presents information relevant to the students we are fortunate to instruct. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence and strive to deliver the highest quality training to each and every firefighter we interact with.
